Lots of music this month. For one, I rediscovered Peter Gabriel. Went way back to when he was more than crazy. Which is saying a lot since he now resembles a high wizard. “Down The Dolce Vita” is a favorite from that early period. And this video, of course:
I’ve also been listening to the So album, the album art of which (I just discovered) was designed by my favorite graphic designer of all time, Peter Saville.
I can not stop listening to the new Lily Allen—It’s Not Me, It’s You. Brilliant songwriting. Her usual snarky self. And the video for “The Fear” makes me want to put her in my pocket and keep her like a charm.
The Jet Rodriguez is a recent Myspace discovery. If you love Bon Iver and the like, you’ll love the track featured in this month’s list.
David sent me a hot ass remix by Le Weekend for Depeche Mode’s new one, “Ghost” and the Jacques Lu Cont remix for “What Else is There.” Epic as ever.
Lastly – Electrik Red. Think Santogold meets Destiny’s Child. They only have a couple tracks on iTunes. Make sure you get the one from this month’s list.
