Digital Entertainment Marketing: Using Social Media and New Distribution Models to Get Viewers to Your Latest Film, Project, TV Series. Moderated by Alexander Rea.
I’m excited to be part of this year’s Digital Hollywood in NYC this Thursday. My fellow panel members are up to some very big things:
Matt Spangler runs all the marketing and branding for Tribeca Films, Tribeca Film Festival and a new Original Content group. Aaron Williams is the founder and CEO of SocialSamba, the leader in social storytelling and the Emmy-nominated platform behind the hit Social TV productions Hashtag Killer (USA Network) and Teen Wolf: The Hunt (MTV). Eugene Hernandez, co-founder of indieWIRE, is the Director of Digital Strategy for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, developing new media initiatives for the organization. And Matt Bolish is ushering Lincoln Center forward into the world of convergent media with StoryWorld, among other exciting programs.
Audiences are drawn to experiences where story, brand, and marketing weave together in symphony.
One of the examples I’ll be looking at is Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming take on The Great Gatsby, and how the marketing of the film has less to do about any one of its components, but rather a culmination of unique artistic vision.
