Biography
Paul G. Maziar is an American author based in Brooklyn, NY.
Maziar collaborated with Sparrow Hall on the short story “Winter Bunker,” featured in the 2009 anthology The Good Things About America, published by Write Bloody.
A product of the authors’ “Blackbird Sessions” at Blackbird Café in Williamsburg, “Winter Bunker” was initially an experiment in continuation. After writing the first half of the story, Hall handed it off to Maziar to complete the second. Although completely different in voice and style, the two harmonize over common themes of togetherness and the preciousness of time, using the story as a form of dialogue.
Maziar's first book, WHAT IT IS: WHAT IT IS, published by Write Bloody, is a unique and visceral collaboration between experimental prose and the typographic and photographic treatments of Matt Maust (Cold War Kids).
Maziar’s forthcoming book, The Exploding Pen, is an artistic collaboration with visual artist Mark Penxa.
