Biography
Shawn Christensen is the lead singer of Stellastarr*. He is based in New York City and Los Angeles.
Shawn collaborated with Kevin McAdams (of Elefant) to create the track, “Castaway” in response to Sparrow Hall’s short story, Two Blue Wolves. The song is featured on the Two Blue Wolves Soundtrack.
Shawn and Kevin went to the same high school in upstate New York, and befriended one another while working at a local movie theater. Soon they began writing music together as a hobby. That hobby would soon grow into two of the most well-known bands of the New York Scene, Stellastarr* and Elefant. Each band would go on to receive immense critical acclaim, booking dates around the globe, and often times sharing the same stage.
Now, Shawn and Kevin have returned to their roots, taking all they’ve learned and infusing it into a brand new sound.
Shawn continues to play with Stellastarr* who have just recorded their third album and are currently showcasing in New York.
Outside of his music, Shawn is a screenwriter and actor. His script, Sydney Hall, co-written by Jason Dolan, was recently picked up by Fox Searchlight.
