Biography
Giovanni di Mola is an internationally acclaimed photographer based in Hudson, NY and New York City.
Di Mola provided an image for the Nightwork transmedia storytelling collection by Sparrow Hall. Created as a response to the record album "Night Work" by the Scissor Sisters, the Nightwork collection returns to the album's world of disco lights and transient encounters to tell new facets of the album's story through literature, music and art. Di Mola has also photographed Sparrow Hall and David Crabb for their music collaboration, A Crowd Electric.
Capturing the effects of motion and natural light within a private environment, Giovanni’s signature portraiture style tends to explore themes of transience, presence and identity. His work has been exhibited in Berlin, Hamburg, New York City and throughout upstate New York. Giovanni's photographs have been featured in VICE Magazine, Italian Vogue, GENRE Magazine and TimeOut NY, as well as the 2004 film Marie & Bruce starring Matthew Broderick and Julianne Moore.
Giovanni is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
