Biography
The Well-Enough Folk Band is comprised of a shifting line-up of musicians with Helen Gassenheimer serving as the primary singer and songwriter for the band. They are based in Brooklyn, NY and Northampton, MA.
The Well-Enough Folk Band recorded “A. Rainer,” in response to Sparrow Hall’s short story, Two Blue Wolves. The song is featured on the Two Blue Wolves Soundtrack. The track features Gassenheimer on lead vocals and guitar, Thomas Eaton on lap and pedal steel guitar, and Tanya Buziak singing harmony.
Though continually changing instrumentation (guitar, fiddle, mandolin and the occasional banjo) and songwriting form, the band maintains its signature sound, rooted in American folk. They have performed shows at the American Folk Art Museum in Manhattan, and various other venues in New York, Brooklyn and the Northeast.
